Ray Stephenson stated in his book 'Sedum Cultivated Stonecrops', "When it was discovered in 1978, this species created quite a stir in the scientific world because it had the largest number of chromosomes of any living thing on earth: n = circa 320." How cool is that?!
Rosettes are blue-green and can be as much as 7 inches in diameter(this one is 7 inches). Baby rosettes are formed on stolons. Lateral flower stalks have sweet smelling white flowers.
