Little hairy brown-red jelly bean-shaped leaves will drop when brushed against and will start to grow new plantlets. Grows to 7 inches tall before trailing and cascading. In summer, bright yellow flowers emerge from the stem tips. Good in hanging baskets. Will survive mild winters outside. Mexico.
I was taking cuttings in February and found that Sedum stahlii leaves fall off and roll for some distance. I tossed one like a marble and got it to roll 30 feet. I propose an annual Sedum stahlii leaf rolling event. It will undoubtedly be more exciting than our local Slug Fest in Elma Washington where slug races are the big event. The disadvantage would be that almost every leaf would touch down and root, starting a new colony of plants.
